The Freshman Owls Lady Freshman basketball team played a tight game in their first 32 minute scrimmage against Arlington High. The Freshman were down 3 late eventually falling 42-36.
The team was led by point guard Jeleen Guerrero who paced the Owls’s attack with her scoring, floor leadership and passing. Post Autumn Shank also helped keep the Owls in the game with her rebounding and her scoring. Camryn Carey was a thorn in the Lady Colts side all game long with her constant hustle, defense, and ability to be the first to a loose ball.
The Lady owls also received strong contributions from Alanna McGee, Brooke Williams, Rubi Reyes and Brandi Waxman.
The Freshman open the regular season at 5:00 pm Tuesday night against Life School of Waxahachie.
